Sketchbook Sessions

SKETCHBOOK SESSIONS (Academic Year 2017/18) Fridays from 3:30 - 5 PM (some dates not apply) in the Classroom of the Museum During these sessions, UMMA will provide an inspiring space for you to further your artistic practice working with your sketchbook. Adults and students grades 8 and up are welcome to join. Those under 18 must complete the proper release form agreements in order to attend. Leonard III '65 Lecture Series Presentation Join Museum Director and Curator George Kinghorn as he leads a lively discussion with featured artist Jack Balas and Daniel Kunitz, former Editor in Chief of Modern Painters. The panel will discuss depictions of the male figure throughout art history as well as contemporary approaches. This discussion, with plenty of time for audience questions, provides an insight to works featured in the Balas exhibition Maine and Again.
