Portraits in ArtThe Little Fortune Tellers by Sir Joshua Reynolds

Description:
Looking at portraits in a variety of media, students will learn about the many different techniques artists use to depict others. Activities can include exploring ways to show character, mood, and personality in a portrait and comparing and contrasting two portraits in different media.

Objectives: Students will become familiar with different media and be able to identify and apply techniques for character, mood, and personality.
