Drop and Shop

Workshop description:
653Make art fun! Parents, need a few hours to yourself during the busy holiday season? Support local businesses on Small Business Saturday and come downtown to do your holiday shopping while your children have fun,  at the Museum of Art!

Children will explore the galleries, learn about the current exhibits and featured artists and create their own artful holiday cards and gifts. Register early, space is limited!

What to bring:

Bring a lunch and a water bottle. We will provide all of the materials you will need to create your artwork. Just be sure to dress for art-making – we will get messy!

About the instructor:

Kat Johnson currently serves as the Education Coordinator at UMMA. She has B.A. in Theatre and a Masters of Fine Art in Intermedia from the University of Maine. Kat also has experience with a variety of media including drawing, painting, small scale sculpture, fiber arts, bookmaking, and photography. She has taught in public and private settings for students of all ages. Kat finds great inspiration in teaching the museum’s education programs.
